Keys by Code
If all keys are lost it can be a lot cheaper to just get a new key cut via the code rather than replacing the whole lock mechanism
A key code is a code from the lock manufacturer and specifies which key will open the lock (The key code specifies both which blank to use and how to cut it).
A key cut to code will meet the original factory specifications and will have no wear.
Unless the lock is new there is no 100% guarantee that the key cut to code will work as the lock may have been altered, worn or defective.
